An Evening with the Bard
Shakespeare is undeniably one of the most remarkable and recognized writers in history. His plays and sonnets have been a mainstay for composers and librettists over the course of opera and art song. Atlanta Concert Opera has partnered with Capitol City Opera to produce a COVID-19 compliant recital series focusing on operatic arias and art songs set to Shakespearean stories by a diverse selection of composers, all performed by local Atlanta musicians.
The mini-recitals will be posted on Capitol City Opera’s YouTube and Facebook pages and shared on Atlanta Concert Opera’s Facebook and here.
